Readers Around the World

David and I went out to eat tonight at one of our favorite restaurants, Tani-gawa.  It's a Japanese restaurant with a really sweet wait staff who work so hard on their English.  I like it there because I don't have to work on my Chinese.  I just encourage them with their English skills.

The first time we went there I noticed their great collection of Manga books, Japanese graphic novels that you start reading at the back of the book.  Of course, I don't know the whole story about them.  They have several bookshelves filled with the books.

Tonight was a nice quiet night there and several business men like this one were reading away as they waited for their food and after eating.  One had a stack of about six books.  The books are so quick to read you don't have to worry about checking them out and bringing them back in three weeks! What a great way to pass the time when you are by yourself.

I like it when people read.
