It was quite dismal on our way home from the office on Friday night. Pouring down rain and crushing traffic. Dave's company has a couple vans that pick up employees from certain areas of the city in the morning and return them in the evening. David uses this method of travel to and from work most days unless he has meetings or is out of town for some reason. I like it because I have a pretty good idea of when he will arrive at our apartment. If you know him, you probably know he is a workaholic. This way he isn't going in too early and staying too late.
Saturday morning arrived with a smile of sunshine. Perfect temperature, must have been low 70's.
We took the subway down to Linden Lu to one of our favorite restaurants to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. We were able to sit outside and enjoy this spot which is a little off the beaten path.
It's an English Pub called "The Drunken Chef" but we like to call it Clive's because it is Clive who owns it.
I thought of my neighbors' backyard when I saw this addition to their patio. Rob and Kellylynn need a hand coming out of their pond.
The willow trees are just showing that tender green color I love so much. It was like this both Saturday and Sunday! I'm still in shock.
Congratulations!! How nice you could actually spend your anniversary together and have such nice weather. You both look great!!! And that fish dinner....hmmmm....sweet and sour fish. I like pickled herring so maybe this would be good too! :-)
