The question I get asked the most frequently is "Who is taking care of your grandchildren?" They can't believe I am not back in the states doing that. They live to take care of their grandchildren. There are usually four grandparents and two parents for each child. I wonder if they fight about who gets to take care of them.
So often you see Grandmas out with their grandchildren visiting their neighbors. They are so proud of those children.
This Korean grandma on the left looks so sweet doesn't she? But I have bad news for you. She eats her grandson's friends.

We went out to eat together and this little guy (not a good photo sorry) kept fooling around and not eating and it was about time to go, so his Grandma ate one of his smiley potatoes. He started screaming and crying, "You ate my friend!!! We all wanted to laugh but he was so sad. Now, what to do about the friends? The ability to distract is everything.

So interesting! Funny story with the kid. The power of distraction....use that every day! Ha!
ReplyDeletejust another example that kids are the same all around the world!! I'd like to taste one of those!
