Here's David sitting on our balcony before going to work. We have coffee and visit and sometimes call the kids. He's talking to Levi here. (7:45 a.m. here is 6:45 p.m. in the States.) I'm usually telling him about something I just read and he's telling me something depressing about politics in the U.S. The good news about the photo is that I took down the shirts, towels and underwear that are almost always hanging over our heads to dry.
Today is the first day of the Chinese October Holiday, like our 4th of July..but not. So Dave will have a week off of work. We don't have big plans but it is fun to scout out the old neighborhood with him. Yesterday we took the new subway to Linden Lu. We ate a great restaurant, "Clive's". It was reminiscent of "O'Malley's Irish Pub" in Shanghai.
