Shangwu

We needed to have a man come in to repair some walls and then paint them.  He very quietly went about his business as I puttered around.  Of course, it is very hard for me to not jabber away to someone if they are in my home.  But, I left him alone.

When he got to a stopping point, plaster not dry yet,  he said a bunch of stuff and I just stared at him, with a pathetic smile. Finally, he said "Shangwu" (this needs some accent marks but I don't know how to get them in this program) and I said "Okay." After he left I rummaged through my Chinese books and decided he must have meant "Morning."  Yay for me! He'll be back in the morning! That is unless he shows up after he eats lunch today.

Back to the drawing board.  He's back and it's only noon.
