Jingle Bells????

On a morning walk this week I was drawn to some music wafting through the trees.  Where was it coming from?  Then I recognized the tune...."Jingle Bells"....sung in Chinese on a warm September morning.  It was coming from this new International Kindergarten on our street.  Then I heard "Happy Birthday", "ABC Song in English" and a finale of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" in Chinese.
I don't know who plans the streets in this area, but you could not believe the traffic jam as parents and grandparents show up in cars, ebikes, bikes, strollers and on foot to leave off their precious cargo.  The street was chaos, to the Minnesotan in me anyway.  There were even some women who had strung up a rope between lamp posts in front of the school to sell handmade children's pajamas.  Did you ever hear what entrepreneurs the Chinese are?
Can you imagine ramming your car up on the curb every time you need to park on this narrow street?
On the other hand, is there anything more tender than watching Grandpa with pink backpack slung over his shoulder walking his darling granddaughter to school as she skips along unimpeded with bags or worries.
